Drift & Wood is a beautiful venue for your wedding and are able to accommodate a diverse range of options depending on your desires, you can have the exclusive use of whole venue, you can also have a section exclusive or you may just want a table as part of our restaurant.


We offer beautiful food focusing more as shared over plated alternate drop dining. Where the food is shared along the table or cocktail style standing up or both. We can tailor the menu around the style of wedding your after.


Saying that all the food we serve will be generated from the restaurant meu at that time in particular finger food and shared entrée, we have a set shared main course option.

For couples with distinctive taste, celebrating your wedding at Drift And Wood lets you bring your dream to life.
Our spacious restaurant is nestled between 1770 and Agnes Water with a short walk to the lovely beachfront of Agnes water.

Wedding Accommodation

Next door is the holiday accommodation, Sandcastles, with luxurious guestrooms and suites are ideal for the bride and groom and wedding guests – creating the perfect destination for tranquility in Agnes Water.

Our wedding menus and catering services allow you the flexibility to design your own menu with our executive chef, or choose from one of our recommended menus featuring the finest local ingredients.

Peak Periods – All school Holidays & Long weekends, minimum spend applies to each area.

Public Holidays 15% surcharge applies to everything.


Inside Exclusive

  • Tuesday – Thursday $600 + GST
  • Friday – Tuesday $800 + GST

Outside Deck

  • Tuesday – Thursday $300 + GST
  • Friday – Tuesday $500 + GST

Whole Venue

  • Tuesday – Thursday $1500 + GST
  • Friday – Tuesday $2000 + GST

Please note table arrangement & setting includes: Table & chair placement, clothing , food & drink, service setting.

This does NOT include any extra decorations, centerpieces, Table Runners, Name Place Cards or promotional material.

This can be arranged, it will be charged at:

  • $150 + GST for First 2 hrs. or any part of, and $100 + GST per hour after that Tuesday – Thursday.
  • $250 + GST for First 2 hrs. or any part of, and $150 + GST per hour after that Friday – Tuesday.

Smaller groups can be catered for within the restaurant.

When it comes to the Menu for your function, we tailor it to your needs.

Share style menus are what we specialize in, it’s a much better experience for everyone.

What this means is we will design your menu close to the date of the function utilizing what we are serving on the current Restaurant Menu

Wedding FAQs

What is the wedding venue capacity?

Whole venue sit down 80 stand up 150 both exclusive use other options for smaller groups are also possible outside on deck in front of bar up to 36 long table sit down exclusive use of that area stand up 60 inside can accommodate sit down smaller groups.

Do you offer cocktail wedding receptions?

Yes we can cater for cocktail style receptions .

Can you accommodate an intimate wedding reception for fewer than 20 guests?

Yes we can cater for fewer guests.

What Décor and Decorations are included?

White linen table cloths and napkins are included in the Room hire charge styling and decorations can be organised thru 1770 weddings who are also on site

Can we have a band or DJ at our wedding?

You can have a band DJ there are some conditions on this which will be explained on request.

Do you offer a Wedding Cake?

No we do not offer wedding cakes. You may want to talk to our recommended wedding planners.

What times can my vendors access the venue for set up?

Set up times will generally only be available on the morning or after lunch service of weekends, I can be reasonably flexible to give enough time providing it does not impact the daily operation of business.

Can our guests stay in the venue after midnight?

No we are only licenced until midnight and must ne finished by then .

How do my guests get to Drift And Wood?

Own transport is required generally 1770 shuttle can pick up from Bundaberg or Gladstone airport or Mirian Vale train station this would need to be organised with them.

Does the venue have parking?

There is onsite and street parking.

How do I confirm my wedding booking?

Confirmation will be on completion of terms and conditions and deposit paid.

What is the deposit to secure my wedding?

For smaller groups having exclusive use of part of the venue a $500 deposit, larger groups whole venue $1000.
